Boarding
At City Limits our motto is Run, Play, Relax! We run a daily routine for our pack members, this structure guides our team and pack members to run, play, and relax throughout each stay. Providing exercise, stimulation and appropriate rest breaks for all. Our baseline boarding fee gears all dogs to achieve this throughout their stay. Some dogs need to exert more energy than others through physical or mental stimulation, our additional services help our clients tailor their dog's stay to meet their needs. If you are unsure, our canine care team can also suggest on how we can tailor services that may best suit your dog!
Boarding may be required for many reasons depending on each client's needs. Some dogs board for a short visit (1 or 2 nights) others come for holidays or vacations (7 - 14 days or more), sometimes clients are going through home renovations or home sales and boarding is a safe and secure space for your dog to enjoy without the disruptions to home routine or stress of strange people in their house. Additionally, it is a great way for dogs to exercise and socialize in a supervised setting. Many pack members sign up for community play while they board, but not all! Pack members are assigned a kennel space for their stay which becomes their home base to relax, eat, and sleep. Kennels are equipped with a raised bed and stainless steel dishware. Clients pack all meals, including any additional food, supplements or medications required throughout the stay. We recommend clients also send a comfort item for them to snuggle with at night. Dogs will have designated outdoor time several times a day to explore the yards, relieve themselves and stretch their legs. Morning wake up call is daily at 7am and final relief outings are at 8pm.
For dogs that join in community play, they are grouped with similar size, energy level and temperament playmates for supervised outdoor playtime in our 1/4 or 1/2 acre yards. Playgroups are rotated throughout the day. Groups partake in community play for 20 minutes per session (in extreme heat/cold or extreme inclement weather this will be altered for safety). Some pack members do not socialize with other dogs, but come to play with our team members and partake in additional activities that keep their minds and bodies busy throughout their stay. Additional daily activities are available for all pack members and include: trail walks, one on one play sessions, swimming (summer only). We also offer daily lunch treats, and onsite grooming!
Does our boarding routine sound like something your dog would be interested in? To help us learn more about your interest and your dog we have a new client questionnaire that is required prior to generating an account. Once the form has been received and reviewed one of our Customer Service team members will follow up with you. We require all dogs in our care to be current with rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines 7 days prior to their first stay. We have a 1st Boarding Evaluation process for new pack members to help our team get to know our new 2 legged and 4 legged clients, provide you with feedback, and help integrate new pack members into our routine. We require a minimum 2 night stay with a maximum 4 night stay for their first visit. Following the 1st Boarding Evaluation new clients will receive a report card to track progress. Once the evaluation has been completed our team will be in touch about future bookings.
